Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 October 2026
These terms govern the use of MagnificBot (the “Service”): the Discord bot, the web dashboard and the website. By adding the bot to a Discord server or signing in to the dashboard you agree to them on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, of the server you manage.
1. The Service
MagnificBot provides moderation, AutoMod, tickets, levels, welcome messages, giveaways, polls, automations, a message builder, statistics and a server manager for Discord servers, configured through a web dashboard. Features are grouped in modules that server administrators can enable or disable per server.
2. Accounts and Discord
Sign-in is done exclusively through Discord OAuth2. We never receive or store your Discord password. You are responsible for the actions taken through your Discord account and for keeping it secure. Only members with “Manage Server” or “Administrator” in Discord, or members explicitly granted a dashboard role, can change a server’s configuration.
The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord Inc. Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord’s own terms and guidelines.
3. Plans and limits
The Service is offered in a Free plan and in paid plans (Premium, Pro and Enterprise). Every plan includes every module. Plans differ in the number of items a server may have (for example automations, ticket departments, role panels or backups), in the number of servers one subscription covers and in support options. Current limits are published on the pricing section of the website and on the “Plan & limits” page of each server’s dashboard, and may be updated from time to time.
3.1 Free plan: promotional messages
The Free plan is funded by promotion of MagnificBot itself. Servers on the Free plan agree that the bot may post, at random intervals (currently between 8 and 16 hours), a short promotional message about MagnificBot in the server’s most active text channel, chosen automatically from recent message activity. If no activity data is available, the server’s system channel or the first channel where the bot can write is used.
- The message is posted by the bot itself, contains only information and links about MagnificBot and never includes third-party advertising.
- It cannot be disabled, moved or scheduled on the Free plan. Removing the bot’s permission to write in a channel only moves the message to the next most active channel.
- Upgrading the server to any paid plan stops these messages immediately. If a paid plan expires and the server returns to Free, they resume.
- Each promotional message is recorded in the server’s log (“Recent events”, type
promo.sent) so administrators can see exactly when and where it was posted.
3.2 Paid plans
Premium and Pro are sold as monthly subscriptions from the Billing page of the dashboard. Payments are processed by Stripe; MagnificBot never sees or stores your full card details. Enterprise plans are agreed individually.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly, in advance, in US dollars (USD).
- A subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel it from the customer portal (“Manage subscription” on the Billing page). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid: the covered servers keep the plan until then and then return to the Free plan.
- One subscription covers up to a set number of servers — 3 with Premium and 5 with Pro. The subscriber chooses which servers are covered and can change them from the Billing page.
- Taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) may apply depending on your country and are shown at checkout.
- Prices may change. We will notify you before a new price applies to an existing subscription, so you can cancel before it takes effect.
- Payments are not refundable, in full or prorated, for partial periods, unused time or unused server slots, except where required by law.
- If a payment fails, it is retried during a short grace period in which the servers keep the plan. If it still cannot be collected, the subscription ends and the servers return to the Free plan.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- violate Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, or any applicable law;
- send spam, harass people, or distribute malware or illegal content through the message builder, webhooks, automations or any other feature;
- attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits or access controls, or to access servers or data you are not authorised to manage;
- overload or disrupt the Service, or reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows.
We may suspend or remove the bot from a server, or suspend a dashboard account, when these rules are broken.
5. Data we process
To operate, the Service stores per server: configuration, moderation cases, event logs (only when the Logging module is enabled), ticket conversations and transcripts (only for the Tickets module), XP and level data, message templates, scheduled messages, structure backups and aggregated daily statistics. For dashboard users we store the Discord user ID, username and avatar, and an encrypted Discord access token used to list your servers. Webhook tokens and secrets are encrypted at rest.
Data is strictly separated per server and is deleted when the bot is removed from a server or on request. Log retention is limited (event logs 90 days, dashboard audit 180 days, longer on paid plans where stated). We do not sell data and do not use it for third-party advertising.
Cookies and analytics
The website (magnificbot.com and the dashboard at app.magnificbot.com) uses Google Analytics 4 and the X (Twitter) advertising pixel only if you accept them in the cookie banner. They measure visits, which pages and buttons are used, and whether a visit from an X ad ends in a sign-up or purchase. IP addresses are anonymised in Analytics. When you have accepted and you sign up or pay, our server also reports that conversion to X together with the ad click identifier, your IP address and browser user agent; nothing is sent to X if you reject. If you reject, no analytics or advertising cookies are stored. The dashboard also uses the cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your language. You can change your choice by clearing this site's cookies in your browser.
6. Availability and changes
The Service is provided “as is”. We work to keep it available and to respect Discord’s rate limits and role hierarchy, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Features, limits and prices may change; material changes to these terms will be announced on the website and apply from their “last updated” date.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, MagnificBot is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data caused by actions you or your staff take through the Service (including applying a server structure or deleting items after the confirmation step), or for actions taken by Discord. Our total liability for paid plans is limited to the amount you paid in the previous three months.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your server. We may terminate access for breach of these terms. Sections 5, 7 and 9 survive termination.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms: use the dashboard’s support link or the contact shown on the website.
